New Parisian label Nouvelle Ambience pick up speed with their first V/A album. Tapping us back 30 years to one of the city's many exciting melting pot musical chapters, the self titled album unearths some of the most exciting records made by Francophone acts who made their way from the likes of Senegal and Cameroon to the French capital and fused with European bands. Ranging from dancefloor afrofunk to poppier highlife tracks and Congolese soukous the album captures a unique energy and movement that's so positive and upbeat it's palpable.
