I have owned this original Dead Kennedys LP from new, having bought it from a reputable record shop when it was first released in UK in approx. 1987/88.
This item has the original 12" album, plus the original 7" flexidisc, and also the original 24 page black & white printed lyric/photopic magazine booklet.
It has not been played very often from new - as when I bought this I was a student and so I used to tape all my albums immediately I bought them (and then leave them safely at home), and just take/listen to the taped copy in my shared student housing, or in the car, etc.
The front side of the album outer cover is in good condition although there are some light 'crease' marks and there is slight wear/rubbing to the orange paper/card along all the outer edges The spine is rubbed top and bottom and it is not possible to read all of the black printed words along the spine.
The back side of the outer cover is also in good condition with no signs of damage, other than one slight crease mark (top right hand corner) and also a slight rubbing to the blue paper/card along the top edge.
The album inner sleeve is a white paper and it is in good condition with no damage.
The 12" disc itself is in good condition. There are extra words etched on the matrix/runout on the A side which say "Orlake" and "A Porky Prime Cut" and "Virus+57+Az" . On the B side is etched "Orlake" and "A Porky Prime Cut" and "Virus+57+B".
I don't think I have ever listened to the 7" flexidisc; and I genuinely didn't even know that there was a magazine buried deep inside the record sleeve until I started preparing this listing ! So the flexidisc is in very good condition; and the magazine is in a new and unused condition, although there is a bit of a crease diagonally across the top right hand corner of the front page of the magazine (I think where it has rested against the LP all these years) and the paper is slightly 'yellower' around the outside edges I would say than it probably was 30 odd years ago back in 1987. The magazine back cover has the misspelling of 'convenience' as 'conenience'.
I have taken the pictures today using my scanner, and they are the exact item that I am selling.
I am happy for collections in person, and will always combine postage.
nb: As 12" records and LPs are lightweight but bulky to post in UK under current Royal Mail sizing/pricing, and also need wrapping carefully and properly, as well as having tracking/signed for; this is all reflected in the postage cost for this item.
If you have any questions about this item, please ask.
Thanks for looking !
