This is the Jimmy Reed LP titled “Just Jimmy Reed” on the Vee-Jay Records label catalog number LP-1050, in mono, released in 1962. The oval shaped Vee-Jay logo on the record confirms that it is a 1st pressing of the LP.
The record is from my personal collection and was played exclusively on a high end turntable. It was play tested for this listing in order to provide an accurate description of the quality.
This 56 year old record was pressed on thick vinyl. It is in excellent condition with only a few minor smudges on the surface which are inaudible. The record sounds great with only typical stylus on vinyl sounds and occasional light clicks. Record labels are in excellent condition.
The outer jacket shows some age fading of the front glossy finish and some edge and corner wear but all seams are solid. The original plain paper inner sleeve is intact.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
