BUYER INFORMATION: I have been a record collector for many decades and am in the process of downsizing my collection. I try to describe items I'm selling as objectively as I can but grading vinyl can be a subjective matter. I use Record Collector magazine gradings.
MINT: Record is in brand new condition. In practice most records aren't, so I only use this grade if the record and cover/contents are genuinely mint or near mint. EXCELLENT: Record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear/creasing. This is a tricky grading to judge because it's easy to disagree about what 'some' & 'slight' mean. I use this grade if there are only very minimal defects and the record plays flawlessly (if I have played graded it). VERY GOOD: The record has been played many times but despite this plays with no MAJOR deterioration in sound quality. There will be noticeable surface marks, light scratches and normal wear and tear to the cover and contents. GOOD: The record has been played so much that it displays major deterioration with clicks, pops and visible scratches BUT no sticks, jumps or loud hiss. The cover and contents will have splits, edge wear, scuffs, folding or creasing. Unless the record is extremely rare I don't sell anything worse than Good. Abbreviations used: EX++,EX+,EX,EX-, VG++, VG+,VG, VG-, G BUYERS ARE ADVISED TO READ THE ABOVE CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. Please note: I will only describe the sound quality if I have played the record again before selling. GRADINGS ARE GENERALLY VISUAL ONLY.
POSTAGE: All items are posted Royal Mail 'signed for' in the UK and International Signed For for outside the UK. I only post to the regions/countries indicated. Don't bid if you live somewhere I do not post to. Current Royal Mail postal tariffs apply. £4.45 (UK), £10.55 (EU), £13.45 (Rest of World). I have to use the most expensive as the default so don't pay until you receive an invoice with the correct postage for your country. I generally use recycled LP boxes so I don't charge for packaging.
RETURNS: In the unlikely event the buyer is not happy with the grading of an item I will accept it for a refund of the original auction fee and postage. Returns are ok up to 14 days after the item is received. In the past unscrupulous buyers have attempted to return different records from the one they purchased. Please be aware that I will report fraud to Ebay.
