This LP offering is entitled "Concert Of The Century" and features four sides of various classical pieces released on the CBS Mastersound label, the audiophile label of CBS Records. The set includes two LPs stored in high grade dust sleeves, a facsimile program from the concert and for this sale only -- disc two of the CD set of the same program. Aside from the CD, you get the CD booklet, and all the tray cards. Only disc one from the CD set is missing.
The box itself is graded VG. It shows some overall wear and discoloration in a few places. There are no rips or tears.
The records were professionally cleaned and play graded. They received a grade of VG, mainly for inherent surface noise during play. The surface noise is not consistent and only occurs in a couple of places on each side. There are lots of quiet passages on the records so the slightest tick seems magnified. Based on the date of the pressing, we believe these incidences of noise to be inherent to the vinyl. During the mid to late seventies, all record labels were criticized for the lack of quality control. Don't let the foregoing deter you, we want you to be happy so we discuss all issues with each record we sell.
As always, we add a polyvinyl outer sleeve for additional protection.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the classical music!
