Holy Soldier was the first metal band ever to be signed to the legendary Myrrh Records. Holy Soldier came out at a time when grunge had already taken center stage in rock and while Holy Soldier is probably one of the best bands to come out of the melodic metal 80s era, they undoubtedly did not get the recognition that they deserved. Because of this they have always been a best kept secret and have become quite collectable as there has never been an accessible reissue until now and those who have the recordings have kept a tight fist on them.

The production of their self titled effort is top notch with David Zaffiro (Bloodgood) twisting the knobs. Also, they gain Steven Patrick on vocals who catapults them into sonic greatness. Holy Soldier is a must for any fan of stellar vocals, with great hooks.
