Next up on Amelie Lens' Lenske imprint is rising Parisian DJ/producer Airod, who has been serving up some pounding grooves on his Elixyr and Molekul labels recently. Like the name suggests, the "Rave Cycle" EP takes its cues from a retro point of view ie: second wave Detroit techno of Plus 8 as heard on the strobe-lit mentalism of the title track, to the full throttle peak time acid thriller "Bloodshed" that's sure to get the sweat dripping down those warehouse walls. In one final attempt to reference the zeitgeist of early '90s Belgian techno, we have the very CJ Bolland sounding "Fury" hammering the message home in style.
