Visual grading

The vinyl has a stunning glossy sheen and whilst it has obviously been a number of times judging by the spindle wear it has been very well preserved down the years.  There are no marks or scratches and only a handful of very faint hairlines.  This is visually in superb condition!  The run out grooves and labels are also extremely clean.

Play grading

The iconic intro on 'Baba O'Riley' has hardly any static and the playback is superb.  As Daltrey comes in there is no let up in quality and the remainder of this classic is without fault.  The odd mega light dust tick but there is no intrusion on the audio whatsoever.  Such a strong deep sound also.  The violin section at the end is mind-blowing - it is 'as new' with no 'background' at all.  A Near Mint start to the album for sure.

'Bargain' plays with sublime clarity and definition from start to finish.   Quite possibly the most 'complete' version I have ever heard the sonic quality is phenomenal.  I have no hesitation in grading this as Mint- there is no interference.

'Love Ain't For Keeping' is of the same immaculate standard, just a small number of dust ticks on the fade out.

'My Wife' again impresses with remarkable clarity, depth and power throughout.  No interference and Mint- is a true representation of the audio.

'Song Is Over' has only very minimal static on the quiet intro section and plays very clearly.  As the volume increases the audio is superb and to the end there are no clicks or pops.  There is only minor inner groove distortion and a Near Mint- grade is fair.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

'Getting In Tune' again displays impressive clarity on the quiet intro with very little static and from then the audio cannot be faulted.  It is a stunning version and there is no 'muddiness' to the sound at all, the definition is so 'clean'.  It clearly has not been overplayed and you can hear each note with perfect precision.  Every section plays so well but the end section in particular is fantastic!  Mint-

'Going Mobile' is equally as good although arguably the minus isn't required.  I love the production values on this LP and when you find a well preserved vinyl such as this they really stand out.  Quite simply this a perfect Mint version.

The acoustic intro on the classic 'Behind Blue Eyes' plays beautifully with no 'background' and only a couple of dust ticks as the vocal begins.  It then continues to play with incredible clarity and I essence is as close to audio perfection on vinyl that you will find.  It is STUNNING!  The 'high octane' section plays with superb power and depth and the final vocal has just the one light tick.  A fantastic Mint- version in my opinion.

'Won't Get Fooled Again' has barely any static on the intro and then plays with great power and sonic quality.  The strong deep audio on this track is so impressive and all 8+ minutes of this classic do not disappoint.  There is no interference aside from one minor tick during the synth section near the end and this has to be one of the finest versions I have ever heard.  Wow!  Mint-

In summary this may not be a first pressing but you would be difficult to find any pressing that plays as well as this.  It plays with 'high end' audio on both sides and there really are no negatives.  The iconic cover is also very clean with only very minimal wear.

The Cover

The cover is in excellent condition with only light shelf wear.  The edges have very little rubbing and the spine remains in great shape with only a couple of minor crease lines and is still 100% legible.  The corners are very clean although the bottom left one does have minimal wear and the opening edge has barely any handling wear.  The iconic front cover has no marking and the back cover has no marking and only a little fading here and there.

Inner Sleeve

The plain white die-cut inner has no side splits or marking and only very minimal creasing.

The Labels

The early 'Track' labels have some spindle wear on each side but no marking or writing.
