Atlantic Records
“Led Zeppelin II”
Robert Ludwig Hot Mix
LED ZEPPELIN
Original very early 1st issue of Led Zeppelin’s second album, released in 1969, with a Bob Ludwig hot mix mastering Sterling Sound with an incredible ambience storm hot mix sound and high bass levels. This pressing was withdrawn early, because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album, believing it was defective. This copy includes a monstrously rare original very early purple tint “Led Zeppelin” banner cover (please pay attention that this cover’s banner tint is different from the more common pink tint. Only a small amount of 1st print covers contain a purple tint banner, which represents a high collector’s value) + this is a very rare Monarch pressing, which is considered to have the best sound quality in comparison to the issues pressed at the other plants. Original raw matte textured light brown very early 1st print cardboard gatefold cover. The front cover has an original promotional hit single round “Includes the Hit Single Whole Lotta Love" white with pink and orange text hype sticker affixed to the front cover along with containing an Atlantic Records large "A" with black fan logo and SD8236 catalog number at the bottom left corner. Original 1st print orange and green Atlantic Records SD 8236 catalog number label with a large Atlantic Fan logo at the center top. The record label has the "1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y." address at the bottom rim along with the “MO” suffix indicating that it copy was pressed at the Monarch Pressing Plant, Los Angeles, California. Thick heavy vinyl pressing with the hot mix Bob Ludwig mastering initials (RL) Robert Ludwig stamped in the dead wax/trail-off vinyl on both sides. The vinyl also contains the stamp of Sterling Sound Records, a mastering company founded in New York by Lee Hulko & Joachim "Joe" Paschal in 1968 and then joined by Bob Ludwig in 1969, on both sides. The full matrix numbers are as follows: SIDE 1: ST-A-691671-MO-CC RL SS MR (in a circle) T LW W AT / SIDE 2: ST-A-691672-MO-CC (MR in a circle) LW RL SS Δ13933-X 3 (in a circle) W AT. The copy includes an original 1st pressing Atlantic Records printed color paper inner sleeve with adverts for 54 Atlantic Records releases. The cover is in nice condition without any hints of ring wear on the front or back cover, very clean without containing any writing. Some very light occasional edge and corner wear. Rigid spine with some very light scuffing. The vinyl contains some light surface hairlines, marks and scuffs from the inner sleeve, none of which can be felt with a finger nail. The labels are very clean and don’t have any spindle marks or scuffs. The inner sleeve contains some very light wear at the top.

POLICY:
Realizing how important it is to secure the safety of the item you've paid your money for, I'll put my best effort into packing the records as best as possible, triple boxing them into the specialized professional boxes, with the two outer boxes having a special construction with extended cardboard on the edges to prevent the record covers' corners from getting damaged during the transit, and will also put the vinyl outside of the cover (of course, unless it's a sealed record) to prevent the splitting. I always try responding to the messages, but please, before sending me a message, make sure that the answer to your question isn't included in the description. I'll use my right to block a buyer, who doesn't correspond to my idea of politeness, culture and respect toward each other. If you want to participate in my auction, please be honest and positive, and I'll be mutual with you. I'll remove the bids of a buyer with zero rating, unless he contacts me prior to placing a bid. Unfortunately, I don't ship to Germany or Russia. I apologize to the buyers from these countries in advance.
