Grading is based on visual inspection.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

This is a First Pressing of the original 1976 release. This copy has never been played. The single piece board cover has tight seams and shows no wear. A 12"x 24" fold-out insert includes credits, photos and a 3-page essay by Patti Smith. The original Arista Records logo inner sleeve is included. This is a one-owner that the Seller got new at Tower Records Boston in 1976. It has been in storage for 44 years.
