Mella Dee's Warehouse Music doesn't try to be smart or clever, but it does bang, and what more can you ask for from a dance producer? The title of his latest suggests he was in a particularly direct mood when putting these tracks together and so it proves: "Techno Belter" is built on big, bulky drums with prickly synth details, and "Silver Street" has wonky chords bringing an inebriated feel to the cantering kicks below. Floatation Device does a great job of sprinkling in some cosmic dust on his mix of "Jack U Later" and "Stack Select" is pure Jeff Mills minimalism. Great stuff.
