Thank you for checking out my record auction. I will be listing a large lot of LP’s over the coming weeks. Please check out my other auctions. I am using the Goldmine Record Grading Standards, and I have attempted to grade these conservatively for your sanity and mine. If there are any problems please contact me and I will gladly fix the situation so everyone is happy. Customer satisfaction is a must. I will not be listing anything that is not playable. If it needs to be trashed that’s where I will put it. All records have been visually graded.
All sleeve and record grading will be noted in the following manner: sleeve/record (NM/NM) etc.
Here are the record grading standards:
Sealed- A record still unopened from the factory
Mint- absolutely perfect in every way
Near Mint- a record that looks to have been opened for the first time, a nearly perfect record, glossy and shiny surface, no visible defects
Very Good+ - a few minor defects that prevent the
near mint classification, some signs of play including light scuffs or
scratches, possible spindle marks, or in the case of the sleeve minor ringwear, possible minor surface noise
VG++ may be used if something is close to near mint, but does not quite meet
that criteria
Very Good- Record lacks original gloss, scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail, surface noise when being played, cover show signs of wear, seam splits, evident creases, writing possible
Good- Record should still play without skipping, but has obvious signs of wear and scratches, label wear, cover that has excessive ring wear or damage, writing evident, seam splits
