This is a huge step up from the snoozefest that was Parachutes. The tracks here have a much moodier tone in comparison, Martin's vocal delivery is a lot less wobbly, the production isn't as flat and lifeless, and they seemed to have stopped trying to do a poor Radiohead imitation. The only two tracks here I'm not that keen on are Green Eyes, just because it's not too dissimilar to what they were doing on Parachutes, and also A Whisper, which is I guess the band trying to experiment? Structurally I find it a bit odd and repetitive, and there are some B-sides that I think would have been a better fit than this. At it's best it isn't extraordinary or anything, but it's pretty damn consistent and although it is quite samey throughout, it isn't too long or drawn out at just 11 tracks.

Favourite Tracks: Politik, In My Place, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, The Scientist, Clocks, Warning Sign, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, Amsterdam
Least Favourite Tracks: Green Eyes, A Whisper
