Grading is based on visual inspection.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

This a Columbia Records Promotional copy of the original 1974 release. It is a First Pressing of the Stereo version of this comprehensive compilation of Cab Calloway's musical output. Includes extensive liner notes by Mort Goode and a complete Discography. These two records have never been played. The gold foil Promo stamp is upper left back cover. The paper-on-board gatefold cover has tight seams, a stiff spine and shows some cover storage wear. This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from the Columbia Records rep in his record store in 1974. It has been in storage for 46 years.
