Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted. 

Grading is based on visual inspection.

Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a soft poly inner sleeve.

I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.

New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played.  I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.

This Promotional copy is a First Pressing of the original 1978 release. This copy has never been played. The Promo sticker is on the front cover. The First Pressings all had the palm tree WB label. All subsequent pressings were on the beige/white WB label. Pressed at Capitol Records Pressing Plant, L.A. The single piece board cover has tight seams and shows no wear except for a cosmetic crease across the upper right corner and two dark marks next to 2 song titles (so slight they aren't visible in the photo). It does not have a barcode. The semi-gloss inner sleeve has credits, photos and a band logo. All three seams are split. I have added a soft poly inner sleeve. This is a one-owner that the Seller and all his fellow WB employees waited two years for the initial release of this classic to be released. During that time they saw Van Halen perform around L.A. including at The Whisky A Go Go. This has been in storage for 42 years. R.I.P. Eddie. Note: I just sold the exact same album. It had been played and the cover showed some wear.
