This LP offering is the inaugural release by The Alan Parsons Project entitled, "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination". This debut is a concept album with the song cycle based on the writings of Edgar Allan Poe.
We were very excited to acquire this record and especially pleased with the condition. This is a complete original pressing. The booklet with the onion skin covers is intact, the original 20th Century inner sleeve is intact and we will discuss the record.
Overall, we grade the jacket at Very Good (VG). There is slight edge, ring, corner and spine wear. Please see the pictures. Even with the wear, this is an outstanding example. Remember, this is almost a 45 year-old record. At 45, you will have some wear too.
The record comes in with the highest grade we give any open record, Very Good Plus (VG+). The record was cleaned on a Loricarft Audio Professional Record Cleaner and play graded. We were very surprised at the lack of surface noise. There is slight noise on the run in groove and the that's it. A very clean record and one you will be proud to own. The Doug Sax mastering really makes this one shine.
The record ships in the original inner sleeve, we added a protective polyvinyl outer sleeve.
