Recorded in West Saugerties, N.Y., June–October 1967.
Bob Dylan used the alias Blind Boy Grunt for recordings he made for Broadside Records in 1962–63. The alias was revived by the compilers of this unauthorized release, which nowhere includes the name Dylan—though the extensive rear cover notes do refer several times to "Bob." Comparably, while one side of the album features vocals by Tiny Tim, backed by the Hawks, he is referred to only by his less familiar birth name, Herbert Khaury, in the notes.
"A Night Without Sleep" is formally cataloged as "Rock, Salt and Nails." "Stones That You Throw" is formally cataloged as "Be Careful of Stones That You Throw." "Baby Won't You Let Me Be Your Baby" is formally cataloged as "Baby Won't You Be My Baby."
This items comes from the collection of the original buyer. Records were seldom played and are in Mint to Mint minus condition. Please see close-up pictures for any flaws, defects or ink on sleeves or labels. Please check them carefully and close up. We won't accept returns for any reason that is obviously visible in the photographs. Remember, this genre of vinyl records were RARELY delivered to the store in what you would call MINT condition.
