Queen : The Miracle A1 / B2 1st Press

This first pressing plays with superb clarity and definition and is one of the finest versions I have heard in a long time.  The only 'interference' is one minor click on the second track.  The intros on 'Breakthru' and 'Scandal' play with perfect precision and that is a real rarity!

The cover is very clean with barely any wear and the lyric inner is 'as new'.

Visual grading

The vinyl is in lovely condition and has a very strong glossy sheen.  There are no marks or scratches and only a small number of very faint insignificant hairlines.  There is a very small area of 'specks' on S2 but they have no affect on the stunning audio at all.  I cannot see any spindle wear and the run out grooves are also very clean.

Play grading  

S1 has no 'background' on the run in and 'Party' then plays with impeccable precision from start to finish.  The clarity is so good and the power of the audio is equally as impressive.  A Mint start to the album for sure.

The intro on 'Khashoggi's Ship' is nigh on perfect but does have one light click after 10 seconds.  Aside from that it plays with great clarity and definition and has no other 'background'.  Yes one minor aberration but overall this deserves a Near Mint- grade as the remainder is just so damn good!

'The Miracle' plays beautifully from the very first groove and continues to play to the same 'high end' standard.  The sonic quality here is outstanding and 'as new' is no exaggeration.  There is not one dust tick let alone anything worse and the melodic end section could not play with greater clarity, the fade out has no 'background' either.  This is Mint in all its glory!

The classic 'I Want It All' also impresses from the very first note.  From start to finish there is no distortion, no interference and again Mint is more than deserved.  A powerful, dynamic version it is STUNNING!

'The Invisible Man' ends the side with great depth and clarity once more.  Having listened to every second (as I always do) I can safely say this is Mint with not one iota of interference.  Plus no inner groove distortion.

On the first pressings it is very common for the intro on 'Breakthru' to play with static/crackle and yet this one plays with stunning clarity, just a couple of barely audible dust ticks.  From then on the audio is as 'clean' as when first purchased back in '89.  The sonic quality is again so impressive and Mint- is easily deserved.

'Rain Must Fall' goes one better and grades as Mint as the audio is immaculate from the first groove to the last.  The long fade out also plays to perfection.  There is nothing to fault no need to elaborate!

The quiet intro on 'Scandal' is superb and has no ticks, clicks or pops which makes a change!  A stunning start.  Thereafter this classic is undoubtedly one of the finest versions I have ever heard.  In fact it could not play any better - the clarity and definition of the audio is 'as new' and there is no interference whatsoever.  An immaculate Mint version.

'My Baby Does Me' is of the same standard and again shows just how well this vinyl has been preserved.  With such a strong deep bass sound on this track there is no 'background' and Mint is again deserved.

The intro on 'Was It All Worth It' again has no sign of any interference and then plays with unrivalled power and depth.  This truly is an outstanding version and for once there is no distortion on the top end.  It 'rocks out' loud and true and you could not wish to find a more powerful version.  The 'orchestral' section is 'as new' and the rest of this classic plays with flawless precision also, even the final few quiet seconds.  A fantastic Mint end to the album.

In summary this first pressing plays to a 'high end' standard with only that one minor click as stated.  Aside from that the audio is STUNNING with impeccable sonic quality on both sides.  No underlying static or crackle, the clarity of the recording is very impressive indeed.

The Cover

The cover is very clean with barely any shelf wear.  The edges and spine have hardly any rubbing and only the corners have a minimal amount of wear...very minimal!  The opening edge is in perfect condition.  The front cover is incredibly clean with no marking and I can only see one small crease in the top right corner which will probably not even show up on the photos as it is so minor.  The back cover is also in superb order.  A fine example overall and definitely one of the best you will find.

In a word...perfect!  There are no side splits, marks or any creasing.

The Labels

They have no marking or writing and no spindle wear either.  Great examples.
