Arthur Alexander was a cult 60s soul singer who toured the world and was popular here in the UK. He died suddenly of a heart attack at the peak of his powers and the fact he recorded his music so infrequently is still poured by fans, especially in what should have been his prime years as a singer and songwriter. He did lay down a few classics though, two of which are served up here by Kent. First is the deep cut, mid tempo 'Stay By Me' with its sashaying groove and earnest vocal and then 'Me & Mine' gets more upbeat on the flip.
