This is the Mothers debut LP from 1966, Verve V6-5005-2, first edition.
This is definitely a playing copy. The discs show some wear but sound good and won't throw a needle (at least it doesn't throw mine). There's shelfwear to the jacket and some water damage to the lower left. Not pristine but an acceptable copy.
