Coven's Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls is a true cult classic. It is also an occult classic with big Satanic themes and plenty of devil presence in its big rock anthems. The unabashedly Satan-worshipping songs were maybe a bit too much for the times - 1969 - so there was quite the hysteria in the media when it was released (mostly as a result of the Manson Family murders). So much so, in fact, that it was actually recalled. Still, nowadays there is plenty to enjoy about the hard rock and heavy metal styles it deals in.
