For the next months I am going to be selling off a collection of around
a thousand original STORE STOCK NEW Edison Records from the late teens
to the early 30's.

These records came from the Edison distributor in Oakland, California.
When Edison stopped selling phonograph records in the early 30's, the
remaining stock in Oakland was given to someone. That someone held onto
them until 1960, when they were donated to a local Church rummage sale.
The records did not sell at the sale and a Church employee simply loaded
them into his truck and took them home and stored them in his
garage----untouched until about twenty years ago, when he contacted me
and sold me the whole lot of them. I have been storing them for the past
twenty years and now is your chance to add some fabulous condition
Edison's to your collection.

Please do not ask me if I have specific titles or numbers. I don't know.
I have boxes and boxes and boxes of Edison records in NO PARTICULAR
ORDER. If you don't see any you need this week, check next week as there
will be more. I am NO expert on Edison Records. I do not know which are
the rare ones etc. I DO know that this is an unpicked load and should
have some of the rare ones in it.

95% of these are STORE STOCK NEW, in original sleeves. A very few have
slight damage from improper storage. Some of the sleeves are ratty but
most are really nice.

For those that don't know, these play at 80 rpm, not 78 rpm, but have to
be listed under 78's. They should NOT be played on normal 78 players.
They go on either Original Edison machines or modern 78 rpm playback
equipment that has been modified to play Edison records.

The highest grade I will give any 78 is E+ and MOST of these are indeed
E+, unplayed originals. You will see a few E and E- grades and those
records were probably in store demos or simply scuffed a bit during the
various moves.

Types of Music: POP SONGS, CLASSICAL, COUNTRY, JAZZ, IRISH MUSIC,
SPANISH MUSIC, GERMAN MUSIC, HAWAIIAN MUSIC, RUSSIAN MUSIC AND DANCE BANDS.

There are a FEW Edison Long Players....some 40 minute ones and some 24
minute ones---but there were NO THIN EDISON'S in the load.

If you collect Edison Records, watch my listings for the next few
months. Each Thursday, we will list 50 more until ALL have been listed.

This is YOUR chance to get Edison records in STORE STOCK NEW, UNPLAYED
CONDITION! This is NOT THRIFT STORE JUNK---this is the real deal----in
genuine collectible condition.

Good Luck to all bidders!
