Led Zeppelin : In Through The Out Door A5/B5
This first pressing plays with wonderful clarity and depth with barely any interference. There is just one light click and a very minimal amount of light static on S2. Aside from that the sonic quality is so impressive and you can tell it has heardly been played judging by the audio and that there is very little spindle wear.
The cover is in excellent order with only very minimal shelf wear and the brown paper 'bag' has also been very well preserved over the years. The card inner has no side splits but has been 'coloured' in. This is one of the 'C' covers by the way and has clearly hardly ever been handled.
As this is a first pressing it has the A5/B5 matrix and 'Manufactured in the UK' on the labels.
With international shipping (including Europe now) I will declare a lower amount so as to decrease/avoid any Customs' fees.
SSK 59410 // A-5 / B-5 // STRAWBERRY etched onto each run out groove

Visual grading
The vinyl is in lovely condition with an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen and no marks or scratches. I can only detect 3/4 very faint sleeve removal hairlines on each side but they are not easy to find! The run out grooves are very clean as are the labels which have only 3/4 small faint spindle traces on each side. The vinyl does however have a minor 'bowl' shape affect but the good news is that it has no affect on the stylus and it does actually look flat when you play both sides.
Play grading The quiet intro on 'In The Evening' has only the lightest of background static which is not intrusive in any way and as the track 'ramps up' the playback is stunning. There are no ticks, clicks, pops or static and the clarity and power is faultless throughout. A Near Mint- intro but Mint for the remainder without doubt.
The piano intro on 'South Bound Saurez' is 'as new' and thereafter plays with wonderful depth and precision and again there is no interference. A 'foot stomping' classic that more than demonstrates the rhythm section of Bonham and Jones at their very best. This is a sublime Mint- version with only a couple of mega light ticks on the fade out otherwise Mint!
'Fool In The Rain' provides another example of a vinyl that has hardly been played over the last 42 years. The clarity and definition of the audio is exceptional and the 'samba' mid section is a prime example of that. The rest of the track keeps up this fine standard with no 'background' at all. Mint
The quiet countdown into 'Hot Dog' can easily be heard with only a couple of dust ticks for company. The opening fast paced piano piece is 'as new' and it continues in the same precise way with no inner groove distortion. A couple of ticks on the fade out but this is a Mint- end to the side for sure.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'Carouselambra' is nigh on perfect with only a couple of barely audible dust ticks and then plays with tremendous power and depth. Not exactly typical Led Zepp but it nonetheless plays with great clarity throughout. Every instrumental section plays with stunning precision and that includes the 'quieter' mid section interludes. The audio is so deep and strong here - superb! The final section is flawless and and once again it's the clarity and definition of the audio that really stands out. This is easily Mint- with just minimal static on the fade out.
The intro on 'All My Love' plays very clearly but does have one light click and some minor static. Plant's first vocal plays perfectly with no intrusion and it continues to play so well with barely any intrusion. I detected one light tick further in and a just a touch of mega light background tick here and there but it is certainly not intrusive. I think Ex for the intro and Near Mint- for the remainder is about right.
The quiet intro on 'I'm Gonna Crawl' has only a small number of very light static ticks and the first vocal is stunning with no interference whatsoever. It continues to play with great clarity and the 'high octane' moments are so powerful. I heard only a couple more minor ticks and Page's mid section solo is among the strongest I have ever heard on this final track. The audio definition is so strong and there is no distortion at all. The remainder plays with stunning precision - a bit of an underrated classic this one! A Near Mint end to the album with the majority even better than that!
In summary this first pressing plays to a very high standard. S1 is so close to perfect and S2 just has one light click and just a minimal amount of light static - very minimal! The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio is so impressive and for once there is no distortion either. With a superb cover, 'bag' and inner this is a fine example of this underrated album.
The Cover, Outer 'Bag' & Picture Inner The 'C' cover is in great condition with very little wear. The top edge has no rubbing and the bottom edge barely any. The wide spine is 100% legible with just a small number of tiny rubs and a minimal amount of wear on the corners. The right hand corners are very clean with just a little wear bottom right and the opening edge has only very minor 'crimping' towards the top. The front cover is in lovely shape with just one faint crease near the top plus one faint scratch line next to it. The back cover is unmarked. A fine example overall.
The 'brown paper bag' is in great order with no side splits and only a couple of minor 'nicks' on the top edge that you hardly notice anyway. It is also very clean with only one very small faint mark on the front.
The thick card inner remains very strong with no side splits but as you can see has been 'coloured' in by the 'magic' ink caused by a little water.
