Attention Beatle Fanatics!!!!
For sale here is the Super Rare, Unequalized / Uncompressed 1964 Beatles Hor Zu Die Beatles, which is the Please Please Me album. This is STEREO. Matrix in the run out groove is SHZE 117 A-1 and A-2.
YES, this is the reissue version that was mastered WITHOUT the suggested EQ and Compression changes that EMI specified in their notes to the German licensee. The German reissue engineer simply ignored them, and out came this fabulous version. It sounds better than the standard Parlophone issue. In my opinion, the Parlophone version has too much compression. Compare the handclaps on the Parlophone version....they compressed that thing so much the handclaps are in your face.
Note: Not all the Horzu LPs are the unequalized, uncompressed version!
I'm listing condition as VG, even though I think its better than that. But, this is not a pristine record. If that is what you are looking for, this is not it. There is some obvious vinyl noise in the lead in grooves of Side 1 and Side 2, and some in the lead out grooves at the end of the sides and in between songs. Some songs have some light noise as well. The noise and tics are never overpowering to the music, and the music is clear and loud. On side 1, a small piece of the label has rubbed off. Examining the record under 100 watt bulb shows a good gloss and the scratches and rub marks. The record jacket is in its original shrink wrap and looks very good to me. This would be a PERFECT candidate to record to digital and clean up with click remover, then burn a CD. My grading was done with an elliptical stylus, which contacts more of the groove , a different type of stylus and tracking weight may yield better results.
NOTE: there are NO Returns on this album, so please read the entire description, and know what you are buying . USA buyers and USA shipping ONLY...No Exceptions, sorry!
This is a chance to hear this better version without spending $120 to $250, which are some of the prices on EBAY and DISCOGS. My starting price is $85 plus $10 shipping.
