PRICE
Here we are listing our ex vintage fair stock.  Postage is of course not free but included in the price and a postage discount can be made by using the multibuy feature.

RECORDS and REQUESTS
We have a database of over 2,000 records which will be listed gradually.  Bookmark us or keep calling in from time to time for additions to this section of the shop.  We would prefer not to be contacted with a query regarding a record that you are searching for.  Invariably we will either have it buried somewhere, have sold it yesterday, or not got it.  Searching and replying would simply use time that could be spent listing : )

COURTESIES
Equally we do not contact you to thank you for your order or to inform you of due postage date.  We post once a week and we are extremely grateful for your order.  Sincerely, thank you.

FOREIGN CUSTOMERS
We prefer eBay to handle offshore sales as they handle the VAT issues with some weight behind them.  However, should eBay postage be prohibitive please do contact us.  We have previously been able to reduce eBay postage costs considerably and had no returns at customs however we cannot guarantee no returns.  We will work with you but can not work with customs with the same might as eBay and may have to accept a return and refund you in full, including postage cost, should the item get stuck at customs.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS
All effort is made to ensure accurate grading.  Should on receipt of the record you disagree with our grading, or indeed notice a blemish that slipped the lister's eye, then we issue a full no quibble refund including all postage costs.  Should you decide that you simply do not want the record and agree with the grading we would appreciate that you paid postage and accept a refund of cost of record only.

GRADING
Grading is visual only.  We play grade snippets of records valued at over £50 prior to postage.  Play grading is ineffective as your set up is different to mine and what sounds good on my system may not on yours and vice versa.
We grade sleeve first/disc/disc 2 if double set.  Grading is as a composite whole with detailed description in listings below.  We do not use the outdated goldmine nor RC grading guide - these guides were written long before records needed such close scrutiny in grading.

Our initial grading is as follows
Near Mint (nm) Absolutely as new.  Looks untouched.
Near Mint Minus (nm-) Maybe one slight spindle marking, maybe just a hint of evidence of thumbprint on the label
Excellent Plus (ex+) Evidence of light spindle marking or similar only
Excellent (ex) A strong sharp disc and label, with no wear to spindle hole
Excellent Minus (ex-) As above but maybe with one slight inaudible nick or feint scarring
Very Good Plus (vg+) A good strong presentation though evidently used and with light inner removal scarrings only.
Very Good (vg) More prominent evidence of use with obvious scarring that will not affect playback
Very Good Minus (vg-) Poor presentation with a good playback.
Good Plus (g+) Heavily scarred and tatty - will play through with some firecrackle.
Good (g) Will have deep scratches that will affect a stylus adversely*
(*I advise three styli...one for the nm/ex/vg+, one for the vg/vg-, and one for the g+/g)

Vinyl by its nature will have pop and crackle to some extent.  You can hear the sound of a needle in the groove.  Pop and crackle is gradient throughout the gradings.  None of these discs will play like a cd.

Ex fair stock…almost all sleeves have edge wear or disc indentation.  Mostly discs are in very fine condition.
Laquer horn = a marking generally found in US discs that do not affect sound or stylus.

Aerosmith - 'Rocks' vg/vg+
1976 Italian textured sleeve – Laquer horns in disc.

Bill Wyman - Monkey Grip vg-/nm
Original 1974 – disc is in very fine condition

Blue Oyster Cult - Agents vg/ex
Original 1976 – disc is more ex+ Minor spindle marks and feint mark only.

Budgie - Best Of vg-/ex
Best of the first two albums with inner sleeve removal evidence only. (Note..temporary loss of disc image.  I'll get it back ASAP!)

Budgie - Best Of vg/ex-
1975 compilation.  Generous ex-, this is more vg+ with groove wear.

Eagles - Long Run vg/nm,
Original 1979 – Inner sleeve shows signs of age, disc looks unplayed.

Eric Clapton - Backless vg-/nm
Original 1978

Foreigner ex/ex
Original 1977 with inner removal markings and what looks to be laquer horns on disc.  Inner has some creasing and age.

Foreigner - Double Vision vg+/vg+
Original 1978 with much spindle marking, laquer horns and two light user scars that will not affect stylus or play.  Inner is heavily thumbed.

G-Force - vg/ex,
1980 Gary Moore with hype sticker but no patch with one light hairmark and some spindle wear. Inner has some tearing and age.

Graham Bonnett - Line Up g/vg+
With Cozy Powell, Micky Moody and Jon Lord this should have been a killer album but turned out just pretty good.  Cover is heavily creased top left corner and worn elsewhere, indentation of ex dealers pricing.  Disc has feint markings.

The Stooges - Metallic K.O. vg/nm
Titled as Iggy and the Stooges, this was the famous last Stooges gig before the 2003 reunion and a legendary LP.  This copy is the 1978 Visa re-issue with import chip to cover.  Disc looks unplayed.

Iggy Pop - Instinct vg/vg+
Original 1988
Import chip to sleeve.  Disc has laquer horn and looks unplayed.  Inner has creasing and evidence of disc removal.

Iggy Pop - Party vg/ex
1981
Sleeve has been generously graded vg – more vg- with creasing and wear.  Disc is in beautiful shape, more ex+

Jethro Tull - Crest of a Knave vg/nm
1987 original – textured sleeve has wear around disc area, inner has foxing and dealers’ sticker.  Disc is like new.

Kiss - Alive II vg+/vg+/vg+
Original 1977 red light disc (Shows red when held to the light – this one is particularly black and does not show red against a fluorescent light but only a strong halogen light).  Original printed inner sleeves are missing, no tattoos.  Booklet is in superb condition. This one has a fairly sharp sleeve, having been kept out of reach of general public.  Discs are in good shape but disc 2 has been misgraded; a slivering of markings on side 4 would reduce this to vg only.  As good a rock album as Alive I is, this is a blistering hybrid of rock and metal.  All those great songs from ’76 and ’77 with production to qualify them.

Lisa Dominique - vg/vg
A fleck of label has got embedded into the vinyl at pressing.  Plays through but sound is affected.

Little Feat - Waiting For Columbus – Live vg/vg+/ex
Original 1978 – creasing to front and rear of sleeve.  Minor hairline markings to disc 2.

Magnum - Signed - sleeve only
This came from a collection of serious autograph hunter and head doorman of Morecambe Platform.  He’d get plenty of second rate stars from the Morecambe gigs but also muscle in in other cities for big shots.  I’ve a few of his to list.
This one’s an odditie…the autographs I have from him are mainly 2000 and on, I have this one with a 2005 date; the signature of Wally Lowe suggests 94?  All I can guess is that Wally was present at the gig and scrawled his name on the cover.  All autographs that Neil collected were in this silver or gold pen.  I can’t see him having done this from ’94.  I’ve lost touch with the man.  I have absolutely no doubt that these are authentic…who’d fake Magnum when you could fake Iron Maiden : ), also aspects like ‘lot’s of love’ and ‘best wishes’  suggest real…forgers make a quick dash and get out of there…they don’t hang around with ‘lot’s of love’s

Malice - Licence to Kill vg/ss
Still sealed.

Marillion - Script For A Jester’s Tear vg-/vg-
Wavery sleeve as if stored in damp conditions, with what appears to be residue of sleeve housed next to this one stuck to lower part of reverse rear.  As this was the bedsit and mattress on the floor LP it’s kinda fitting to have a trashed sleeve like this.  It fits.  Original black inner is missing.  This is the 1983 Cream label anticlockwise text issue certainly in very playable condition despite the po and crackle.

Neil Young -American Stars and Bars vg/ex
Original 1977 top opening with printed inner.  Sleeve is creased and worn to lower edge.  Disc has only the most minor markings.

Neil Young – American Stars and Bars vg+/nm
1977 top opening reissue with printed insert, dinted sleeve bottom right.  Disc is very fine.

Neil Young With Crazy Horse – Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere vg-/vg-
Early reissue – without sweating the research I’m pretty certain this is the 1971 re-issue.  Please, if it’s the ’71 that you need, contact me and I’ll do the work.  Sleeve is authentically worn as though the record has been enjoyed by previous owners.  Disc has the same historical atmosphere.  This one is as drenched in duende as Neil himself.  Great copy.

Pete Townsend - Empty Glass vg/nm
Original 1980 with inner.  Sleeve has ringwear and creasing, and residue of dealer sticker to front.  Disc looks unplayed.

Rainbow  - Rainbow Rising vg/ex+
Original 1976.  Sleeve, though vg only, is greatly presentable.  Disc is in great shape.  Essential rock

SOLD - Rainbow - Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow vg-/ex-
1975 original.  Sleeve has damage to rear and the front has slight aging.  Disc has ringwear and a light marking across three tracks side two.  Missing original plain white inner – this one never came with any special inner, but the inner that this particular copy is housed in is an obvious mismatch.  Still…spectacular album, worthy addition to any rock collection and not one that turns up every day.

Rock Goddess – Rock Goddess g+/ex-
Long deleted 1983 first press.  Sleeve damage.  Disc is almost excellent, slight groovewear.

Roger Waters – Pros And Cons Of Hitchiking (B) vg/vg+
1984 original - Sleeve has a slight dullness and has evidently been cramped tight into a collection.  Original black inner.  Disc more vg only and not vg+  Plays fine.

Roger Waters – Pros And Cons Of Hitchiking (A) vg-/ex+
1984 original - Very heavy sleeve wear and slight scarring to an otherwise fine disc.

The Rolling Stones - Made in the Shade vg-/ex+
Looks to be mid 80s re-issue.  Heavily worn sleeve, disc is in great shape.

Sammy Hagar – Live Loud and Clear vg/ex+
Hype red vinyl – sleeve has some disc indentations – disc is in very fine shape.

Scorpions - Tokyo Tapes vg-/ex/ex-
Original ’78 press – Sleeve has some wear.  Disc one has a residue stain that doesn’t look to be laquer horn but will not remove with iso.  Plays fine on my system.   This album is just so damn good; that Uli Jon Roth psychedelic metal rock, just superb that I doubt that you’d want to return it but returns welcome should the stain sound out on your system.  Disc 2 has light markings.

Scorpions – World Wide Live (A) vg/vg+/ex-
Some wear to sleeve.  Both discs have groove wear and scarring,.  Both inners show pre use.  All round ok shape and good enough if you just need a decent copy of this one but not the sharpest if you’re buying a gift or investing in records.

Scorpions – World Wide Live (B) ex/ex+/ex+
Disc 2 inner sleeve has light thumb indentation.  Otherwise sharp all round.

Scorpions - Lovedrive g+/vg
Original 1979 – heavily worn sleeve and slight markings to disc.

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Next...g+/g+
Both disc and sleeve showing considerable wear. Plays ok.

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Live ex/nm-
Sleeve is still shrinked – open for disc removal.  Minor evidence of label handling, otherwise like new.

Status Quo - Blue For You vg+/ex+
Original 1976 – sleeve has unusual markings, clearly someone has used it as a rest for writing on, but only written dashes and x’s.  Only noticeable in a certain light and angle.  Disc is stunning, more nm- rather than ex+  Inner has slight foxing, again only noticeable at an angle.

Status Quo - Pictures of Matchstick Men vg+/nm
1976 Pickwick compilation of the early psychedelic pop years.  Sleeve has the usual foxing to the matt rear of these kind of releases.  Evidence of being stored tight inside a collection.  Disc is nm- and not nm.  (minor touch to label, almost invisible mark to side one)

Steppenwolf – For Ladies Only vg-/vg
Both disc and sleeve show age, both have previous owners names written.

Steve Gaines - One In The Sun vg+/nm
1989 Lp in very fine condition

Thin Lizzy - Bad Reputation (A) vg/ex
All round good condition – ex dealers ‘6’ visible from careless attaching sticker to sleeve prior to his writing, some creasing to bottom right corner, and rear sleeve shows what looks to be studded belt marks from holding LP under arm from one pad to another.  One from the days when records were records and not precious investments.  Classic album in historical shape.

Thin Lizzy - Bad Reputation (B) vg-/vg
Heavy creasing to rear, the depth of final finger joint, and the width of a hand, this was obviously handled with not care.  Disc has some groove wear and light marking.

Thin Lizzy - Nightlife vg-/ex-
1974 Vertigo Spaceship with studded belt markings to rear from carrying under arm from one pad to another.  Disc has minor markings only.

Thin Lizzy - Johnny The Fox vg-/nm-
1976 Canadian in thick card sleeve with inner.  Sleeve shows wear that has been not repaired with black marker, and has import chip to bottom left corner. disc is stunning.  Minor laquer horn.  Inner shows pre ownership.

Tommy Bolin - Private Eyes vg-/ex-
Original 1976 – Sleeve has some creasing and general wear.  Disc has very minor hairline marking

Tommy Bolin - Teaser vg-/ex-
sleeve wear, heavy to spine.  Disc is in beautiful shape.  This one is in a polylined inner.

UFO - Live vg/vg+
Original 1972 on Nova.  Sleeve shows age and creasing.  Disc has scars but sounds incredible.

UFO - Strangers in the Night vg+/vg+/ex
Out and out stone blind classic album.  This one is in great condition.

Van Halen – Van Halen vg/nm-
1978 original showing its age on the outside.  Disc is very close to nm, just one dot on the quiet passage between tracks 3 and 4 side 2

Van Halen – Van Halen II
Sleeve shows wear, disc is in great shape, inner shows considerable handling.  (I’ve used a polylined inner to protect inner sleeve.  Some collectors like to avoid records that have been in contact with the polylined inners.  Personally I’ve never had an issue with them)

Van Halen – The Good, The Bad and Van Halen Recorded Live June 23 1980 at the London Rainbow Ballroom vg/nm/nm
Please note – This is an unofficial LP.  Collectors of this kind of material know what to expect.  If you are not familiar with the nature of these live recordings please avoid this one.  You will be disappointed.  If you are a collector of these things, well this one really is poor sound quality and press.  Completists only.

Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, John Mayall, Eric Clapton - White Boy Blues - vg/ex+/vg+
A collector series compilation of session work of the Yardbirds’ guitar players and John Mayall.  This is not the four guitarists together but a compilation of their individual session work.  Sleeve shows wear, discs are stunning.

Whitesnake - Lovehunter vg/ex
1979 original with inner.  Sleeve shows some wear.  Disc is more ex+ with only one light hairline mark.  Inner has slight markings.

Whitesnake - Come An' Get It vg/vg+
Original 1981.  Sleeve has wear and black marker not-repair.  Disc has very light markings only.  I just cannot see why this was given the vg+ grading (we double check gradings)  I’d give this one ex+  Inner is in great condition

The Who - 64/74 g+/vg/vg+
Sleeve and discs show age wear and neglect.  Plays fine.

The Who - Face Dances vg-/ex+
Original 1981 with poster.  Sleeve has wear, all inside is in great shape.

Wishbone Ash - New England vg/ex+
Original 1976 gatefold.  Sleeve has staining to bottom right hand corner.  Disc looks unplayed.  Generic inner has creasing and age.

ZZ Top Eliminator vg/ex-
Original ’83 with inner.  Disc has one minor blemish track 3 side one.  Inner has soft crinckling and sleeve shows age.

ZZ Top – Best Of vg/vg+
Textured sleeve has light creasing and disc indentation.  Disc is more ex rather than vg
