OK, wow. We cannot believe it has been 10 years since Niclas Jaar's impressive Space Is Only Noise album. At the time he was a young buck, dallying in house and techno but clearly always about sp much more. The cover of this record finds the young artist in a buggy in no-mans-land next to the Berlin wall and that's a fine metaphor for his musical style. It's filled with samples, found sounds, delicate piano playing and is suited to the late night hours, where time slows down and deep thought takes over. It sounds as usual and unique now as it did back then.
