Recently acquired from an estate collection - An early pressing of Elvis Presley's first album in near mint condition. The condition of the record surfaces shows a high gloss and shine with evidence of very limited play. Labels are very clean and appear unblemished as does the vinyl surfaces. A spot on each side appears to be a manufacturing "pimple" that did not affect test play. After a careful hand cleaning, a play test was performed. The album played beautifully throughout on our Audio-Technica LP-120. Play back was clear and clean. The outer jacket appears fresh and nearly new. No ink markings, scotch tape or price stickers. Upper logo box in pink and green. Elvis in pale pink, Presley in green. Back cover doesn't show aging, corners are crisp, spine is highly legible. Onion skin style inner sleeve is aging but intact. Record is now housed in a poly lined generic sleeve and the outer jacket is in a new poly sleeve. When obtained, the album was housed in an old plastic sleeve that certainly aided in keeping the jacket fresh for 65 years. A great find in this condition. Seller will provide adequate ship coverage insurance as part of purchase.
