Edmonton, Canada is the rather unlikely home of the Kimberlite label and super soul gang The Estimations. They are back after a long break with two more modern takes on rare groove, with foot stomping drums and big vocals. The a-side, 'Heart Of Stone,' has fuzzy guitar and a Levi Stubbs that cannot fail to get you up and moving while the haunting backing vocals draw you in deeper. There is also a strong Motown theme on flipside jam 'Don't Go Kissin' My Baby' with a bouncy bubblegum-soul arrangement. It oozes 60s cool and is a bona fide floor filler.
