Another from my personal collection! I have owned this lp from new and initially only ever played this to record to tape and then it was stored in a case with the vinyl removed from the cover for protection! This is how I have always stored my records! (I find it hard to see any spider trails at all on each side on the labels) Stunning early UK issue featuring A3 and B4 matrix endings  Near as mint audio quality and barely ever played vinyl and complete with original 1st UK issue cover and original card picture and lyric record sleeve!  A lovely and scarce to find in this condition! Visually the vinyl is clean and looks barely ever played in my opinion. There are light surface marks possibly seen in strong light these are light sleeve removal type marks only , importantly nothing of which produce any interferance that i could hear during the audio. No loud clicks or pops during the audio which is very clear and vibrant.

Blind Before I Stop is the fifth studio album by Meat Loaf released in September 1986.

The album was produced in Germany by Frank Farian and was the first to fully embrace the '80s sound.

Critics were concerned about the album missing the characteristic Steinman-influenced sound by incorporating synth chords and samples. According to Meat Loaf's 1998 autobiography, he would have preferred to wait to work with more Steinman material, but his contractual obligations with Arista required him to complete two more albums by the end of the 1980s, including this album and a live album.

Despite of that called Meat Loaf Farian the best producer in a 2021 Farian special (Frank Farian decades world-wide music 45 minutes documentary) Meat Loaf co-wrote three of the songs on the album.

One of them, "Blind Before I Stop", was performed live on Saturday Night Live, with Meat Loaf playing guitar. "Rock 'n' Roll Mercenaries", a duet with rock singer John Parr, was released as a single in the UK. Meat Loaf sang the song live with Parr on only one occasion and did not do so again after an incident just after the release of the single. During a sold out show in London, the singer failed to introduce Parr onto the stage and Parr walked off after the song was over. Despite leaving dozens of phone messages begging for forgiveness, Meat Loaf never heard from Parr again.

During his late 1980s tour of Europe, Meat Loaf picked up pianist Frank Doyle. Richard Raskin had made contributions to arrangements on previous musical tracks some years before and his style can still be heard on bass.

The Vinyl

This lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping. Visually excellent in my opinion this looks barely ever played my opinion!
Visually the vinyl is clean and free from audio sounding scratches or marks. Surface marks are noted when angled to the light only, these would be light sleeve removal type marks only, importantly nothing of which produce any interferance that i could hear during the audio. No nasty feelable or audio sounding scratches or marks at all that I can see. Any marks that could possibly be seen would be light sleeve removal type only,, Importantly no marks that would cause any loud annoying constant clicks or pops.

The Labels
The original Arista Labels  These are lovely and clean with no marks or tears. I find it hard to see any spider traces on each side around the spindle hole. This has barely ever been played at all in my opinion!

The Audio Quality
I have played the vinyl at very loud volume on a top system and fully recorded the record for you to hear for yourself in the player provided above! This audio is absolutely awesome throughout! Please note! One of the best sounding copies that I have heard of this album, super deep bassey feel and cristal clear and vibrant through out! No clicks or pops heard at all!  You will find it hard to find a better sounding copy! Audio Near Mint through out looks in barely ever played condition! 38 years old like this!
Hear the complete album in the player above! (actual recording from the vinyl)

Please Note, I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for isolated static. This album is 37 years old and would have originally been played on a 37 years old system!
This album has been stored in a case, laying dormant, with the vinyl separated from the sleeve for protection for over 35 years! This is how I have always stored my records! A build up of dirt and dust in the groves from laying dormant causes static crackle/ticks. A constent cleaning before each play is highly recommended. This will enhance the audio quality and reduce any static interference!

The Record Sleeve
This is the original 1st issue  picture/lyric record sleeve! No splits or tears at all. This is the original!

The Cover
This is the original 1st issue un-laminated press cover! No splits or tears no real nasty creases to talk of generally lovely and clean throughout! No nasty real ring wear or nasty rubbing that is so common on these covers, all text can be read on the spine! . The spine is lovely all text clear and legible, minor crushing only! Lovely cover clean and straight graded at excellent in my opinion!
