Uriah Heep : Fallen Angel A1/B1

For this auction I am selling a number of progressive/heavy rock records that have been so well preserved down the years and many of them hardly played.  I am moving house soon so want to 'shift' a lot of my stock quickly so unfortunately do not have the time to describe each track in detail as I generally do.  However, I will still play every track in full (such a chore!) so as to provide a 'complete' grading.

This first pressing plays with stunning quality with only a little static at the end of one fade out.  The clarity and power of the audio on both sides is phenomenal and you could not wish to find a better version.

The cover is superb with barely any wear and the original inner looks like it has hardly ever been handled.

Visual grading

Visually this could not be any more impressive.  It has a stunning jet-black glossy sheen with no marks, scratches or hairlines and has clearly only been played once perhaps twice at most.  In essence it looks 'shop fresh' with audio to match!  The Bronze labels are in perfect condition with just one mega small and barely visible spindle trace on the S1 label.

Play Grading

'Woman Of The Night' plays with outstanding quality from the first note to the last with no interference - well ok just a little static right at the end of the fade out!  'Falling In Love' is 'as new' from the first note to the last and the remaining tracks are of the same exact standard.  The audio is so sharp and precise and there is just nothing that detracts from the quality of the listen.  It might not be the typical Uriah Heep from their early years but the audio is amazing!

S2 also delivers on every level.  The clarity is stunning and the only 'background' is on the 'Love Or Nothing' fade out which has a little static and a couple of ticks.  All the other tracks are 'as new' with no background of any kind and yes I have played every second!

The Gatefold & Inner Sleeve

The cover is in fantastic condition and the only 'obvious' wear is one small sticker removal mark on the front cover top right.  The original inner has no side splits etc and only minimal fading near the bottom edge.  It is dated 1078.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable // B & W 684 Speakers

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
