Lil Statics offers up another of their eye opening 7"s in which a stone cold hip hop classic gets pressed one side of wax and its main sample source is on the other. Full disclosure - The Wu Tang Clan's 'CREAM"' is one of our favourite tunes from the band - or any hip hop outfit - and probably a large part of that is down to the aching, dark soul strings and piano sample that just rolls and rolls. It will never tire. The Charmel's tune 'As Long As I Have You' is a brilliant piece of heart aching soul with strings and keys that are just as effective.
