Grading is based on visual inspection.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I call a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the grading category to describe the cover condition.
This is a First Pressing of a Columbia Records Promotional Copy of the original 1986 release. This copy has never been played. The gold foil Promo stamp is on the barcode. Recorded Live at The Metropolitan Opera, N.Y.C. Pressed at Pittman. The cover has tight seams and shows no wear. The original generic inner sleeve is included. This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Columbia records in 1986. It has been in storage for 36 years.
