Pre-oil crisis pressing! High quality vinyl
HARVEST SHVL 804 : MATRIX NOs: SHVL 804-A3 / SHVL 804-B3

Vinyl: Excellent -
Visually the vinyl looks awesome! It bears only a few light, wispy paper sleeve hairline marks, some faint surface dust and possibly the very odd scuff mark depending on the angle you view from. The labels bare little in the way of marks / trails and it's very clear that this record was not played for a very long time, rather, carefully stored away. The audio quality from this pre-oil crisis pressing is superb with it's early matrices to credit for this too. Deep bass, excellent instrumentation and juicy rich mids throughout. If you have proper tracking and the right setup, this will hands-down be one of the best sounding records you'll ever hear! Play-tested on a Shure V15 IV with a Jico SAS stylus through headphones and the audio was phenomenal from beginning to end - part of me wants to keep this record! That said, the vinyl has been graded as Ex- due to some low level surface noise that's only really audible in the quietest passages, mainly spotted going into "The Great Gig In The Sky". This might be due to the vinyl itself or it may just be credited to surface dust, I can't say for certain. I have used a cleaner spray on this album but I think that the record would benefit heavily from an ultrasonic cleaner - if only I could afford one! All in all, this record gives a super solid sound experience from beginning to end and it doesn't skip a beat anywhere at all - although I wouldn't say it's minty fresh due to it's age.
Cover: Very Good +
This is the original, rarer "dark blue" variant that would've shipped with original solid blue prism pressings. All copies that came afterwards were more noticeably black on the front panel. It's holding up really well and feels great to hold! The only nitpicks I can give are that one of the corners shows some bumping creasing, there are some spots of wear that I have photographed as well and there are also some signs of ring wear on both sides, and just general white patchiness that's exemplified in the photos. Otherwise, it's in a really superb shape and it's one of, if not the best that I've ever handled.

Inserts: Near Mint / Good
This album comes with both original posters and they are the rarer matte finish versions - these are essentially in a brand new, minty fresh condition. Absolutely superb for almost being 50 years old! Only one postcard is present, and unfortunately has quite a noticeable crease in it.

It also comes with it's original blank white paper inner sleeve, it just isn't photographed. A fresh new archival inner sleeve will be included free of charge to help keep the record as dust-free as possible.
