The sixth album from The Damned, released in 1985, can still be considered one of the London punk legends' most dynamic and intriguing affairs. Ignoring the fact that it was their highest charting release until 2018's 'Evil Spirits', the project features extra focus on vocalist Dave Vanian's deep, sultry yet menacing gothic croon. In essence, this was the goth-rock phase for the group, and while somewhat of an outlier with regards to the rest of their discography, it remains an essential and unique piece of homegrown 80's era punk.
