Edgar Winter is the brother of blues guitarist Johnny Winter, and he's organised this tribute album with a heavyweight cast whipping up a good old fashioned rock n' roll storm. Lead single 'Mean Town Blues' is a slide guitar workout and a half, featuring Joe Bonamassa on the licks, Sean Hurley on bass and Gregg Bissonette on the drums. The album is crafted to reflect the evolution of Johnny Winter's playing style over the course of his life, and the list of guests paying tribute is impressive, with huge names like Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh and Taylor Hawkins in amongst the list of rock heroes doffing their cap to one of their own.
