This is a tidy reissue of the fourth studio album from the mighty Death Grips, one of the most uncompromising crews in experimental hip-hop. Back in 2015 the Sacramento upstarts delivered a double disc dose, of which the first disc is solely made up of beats drummed out on a Roland V-Drum by Zach Hill featuring chopped vocal samples of Bjork on every track. The second half features Nick Reinhart of Tera Melos on guitar and Julian Imsdahl on organ, all fed into the meat grinder and fronted my MC Ride's incendiary raps. No one else comes close to the intensity of these guys, and every album is an essential document of the avant garde potential within the hip-hop tradition.
