Queen : Made In Heaven A2 / B2 1st Press Cream Vinyl Limited Edition 1995 (Complete)

This first pressing from 1995 plays to a superb standard with incredible clarity and depth throughout.  There is only some of the usual static on the intro but it does not last long.  This is clearly a record that has hardly been played based on its visual and sonic quality and that there is no spindle wear on the labels.  I cannot overstate just how stunning the audio is!

It has been preserved beautifully and look no further for a cover that is almost 'as new'!  It has only a couple of minor edge rubs and it would be difficult to find better.  The lyric inner (with no 'Heaven For Everyone' lyrics as per the first pressings) and posters are immaculate and the small advertising flyer is also present and in great condition.  A FINAL UPGRADE pressing in every regard.

Visual description
The vinyl is in superb condition and still has that 'as new' fresh look.  Due to its colour it is difficult to see hairlines even under a strong light but I looked very closely and could only find a very small number of faint ones.  There are no marks or scratches and the labels are pristine with no marking or spindle wear.

Play grading

The quiet intro on 'It's a Beautiful Day' always plays with some static and it is just a matter of how much.  You cannot escape it is just always in evidence with this pressing.  As always I have cleaned the record on my Pro-ject VC-S and having now played it about six times (!) I can confirm the stylus has also performed its customary self-cleaning exercise!  So.... this intro has only a little static and there are certainly no clicks or pops.  As the volume increases soon followed by the 'birdsong' the audio is very clean indeed.  Freddie's vocal plays with even greater clarity and and there is only minimal static at the end.  In a way because this intro static is always prevalent it seems a little harsh to downgrade it but I will say Ex and then Near Mint for the remainder.

'Made In Heaven' has barely any static on the intro and then plays with superb clarity, power and depth from then onwards.  There is no interference and whilst some might say it is a little 'over-produced' you cannot fault the quality of the audio.  The quieter ending has no background at all.  Mint-
'Let Me Live' plays to the same high end standard with no intrusion.  The clarity is 'as new' and there is no distortion on the top end.  It is Mint in every way.
The intro on the classic 'Mother Love' plays beautifully with no background and the first verse is just as impressive.  It continues in the same precise way and for a track with a number of relatively quiet sections the clarity is STUNNING!  There is no distortion on Freddie's higher register and the final verse, sung by Brian of course is perfect and the iconic end section can also be described 'as new' including the 'baby' cry!  This emotive classic grades as Mint
'My Life Has Been Saved' ends the side with impeccable quality with no ticks, clicks, pops or static.  I often find it plays with some inner groove distortion but not here!   and Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.

The intro on 'I Was Born To Love You' has barely any static and opening vocal is faultless.  It then plays with sublime clarity and power and again there is no interference.  A couple of very light ticks that hardly deserve a mention right at the end of the fade out and Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.
'Heaven For Everyone' has a couple of dust ticks on the intro and the opening vocal is equally as good.  This clarity is kept up as it progresses and from start to finish there is no actual interference to be heard.  Because the vinyl has perhaps never been played before the sonic quality is so strong and Mint- is again deserved.
'Too Much Love Will Kill You' plays so clearly from the word go - 2/3 mega quiet dust ticks on the intro (this is vinyl!) and the first vocal and chorus are of the same standard.  From then on the audio is so clean and precise and 'as new' is no exaggeration.  The clarity and depth of the audio is so strong and Brian's mid solo is superb!  This is another track that often plays with some background on this first pressing but that is not the case here.  A couple of static ticks at the end of the fade out so I will grade as Mint-
'You Don't Fool Me' plays with immaculate precision from the first note to the last with nothing to detract from the audio.  A sublime Mint version.
'A Winter's Tale' also impresses on every level and plays to the highest standard possible with no intrusion not even a dust tick.  Freddie's voice is as strong and clear as ever, remarkable really, and Brian's solo also plays to perfection.  Mint in every way.
The reprise of 'It's A Beautiful Day' has no static on the intro and the opening vocal section is just as clean.  As the volume increases the playback is faultless and it continues to play with exceptional depth and resonance and with no interference or distortion.  The track of course finishes on a Freddie's 'Yeah' and the final 'note' for a change has no background.  A Mint conclusion to a superb album!
In summary this first pressing plays with stunning quality with only some static at the start of S1 but as stated that cannot be avoided!  It does not last long and the rest of this limited edition album plays with a clarity, depth and power that is second to none.  There are no clicks or pops and in hand with a beautiful cover this would grace any high end collection.
The Gatefold, Posters & Lyric Inner
The cover is easily one of the finest examples I have ever seen and has retained its original shape and structure perfectly with no bending or creasing.  The only 'wear' if you can call it that are a couple of very minor rubs on the bottom edge of the back cover and one very small one on the top edge.  The wide spine is 'as new' and all corners are in pristine condition as are the two opening edges.  The front and back cover are incredible clean without any marking and the inside is immaculate.  In essence this is as close to perfect as is possible and not often found as stunning as this today!
The three posters are 'as new' and the lyric inner is in perfect condition also.  The small advertising flyer has just one tiny 'nick' in the top corner.
