Highly prolific Japanese electronic composer and multi-instrumentalist Susumu Yokota's Baroque album gets a first ever vinyl pressing here, seven years after his sad passing in 2015. The original dropped in 2014 on CD only in the United States but Barcelona-based label Modern Obscure Music now serve it up as a double LP that shows ff its eclectic styles. It encompasses "fear, rage, and ugliness existing behind beauty" in musical form, as the artist said at the time, and you can fell all that and more when tuned into it. After doing everything from deep house and Detroit-influenced techno to ambient, this final work was an electronic masterpiece.
