Dire Straits - Communiqué - VG+ 1979 1st US Issue Embossed Cover - Warner HS 3330
Note: This is the first US issue, with the embossed ‘envelope’ on the front and no barcode on the back. It is a clipped cover specimen. (A common occurrence when a supply was over stocked and returned to a distributor. At that time, in the 1970s and 1980s, it was then resold at a price lower than the original one. The clipping was to identify the nature of an item’s lower value for restocking and eventual retail.)

Vinyl: Very Good Plus (VG+) - a very few pops ands clicks, some superficial marks, nothing to seriously distract audio;
Labels: Very Good Plus (VG+) - both sides are almost Near Mint as they only have a few handling scuffs;
Sleeve: Very Good Plus (VG+) - embossed ‘envelope’ version, still has the shrink-wrap and two stickers on the front, the small one with yellow print (STEMRA 1162329) and the larger blue one promoting ‘Lady Writer’; a tiny amount of wear to the open edges and a slight impression of the disc;
Inner Sleeve: Very Good - intact with no splits or tears at the seams and folds but it has sustained creasing across two corners and at the top of the main group photo side (see photos).
