'Beatles For Sale' was first released in the mid sixties, breaking new ground for pop music with diverse instrumentation added to the Beatles basic sound. The album zoomed to number one in the charts and remained in the top twenty for most of the year.
With plenty of rock, musical sophistication and an acoustic, folksy or R&B feel, it has remained popular.

Opening with "No Reply" the dynamics and tonal variation of the four Beatles blend beautifully.
John speaks personally to the the listener in "I'm a Loser", followed by the short (two minute) bluesy "Baby's in Black".
Chuck Berry's classic "Rock and Roll Music" lifts the tempo as does "Kansas City" (Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey!).

The flip side opens with the rocking rhythm of "Eight Days A Week", a fan favourite that captures all the excitement of sixties Beatlemania.
