Pulp : Different Class 1A / 1B 1st Press 1995

This first pressing with the non-aperture cover plays to a superb standard with basically no interference!  The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio is stunning and it is clear this record has hardly been played.  The vinyl is visually very impressive with only a few faint 'sweep' lines common on 90s vinyl.  The playback is incredible!

The cover is in fantastic condition with no real wear and both the lyric inner and inlay have also been preserved so well.  This is easily a FINAL UPGRADE album - stunning in every way.

Visual description

The vinyl is in superb condition and still has a very strong glossy sheen and no scratches.  Under a strong light I cannot see any sleeve removal hairlines although there are some faint 'sweep' lines that you often see on 90s vinyl.  Nothing to worry about and I am sure they are caused during the manufacture of the vinyl.  The labels are unmarked with hardly any spindle wear.  A stunning vinyl!
Play grading
S1 begins with a stunning version of 'Mis-Shapes' that plays with a clarity and depth that certainly suggests the record has never been played before.  Easily a Mint start to the album.   'Pencil Skirt' is just as strong with no interference of any kind.  The clarity is stunning for a relatively quiet track - a small number of mega quiet dust ticks but again Mint is deserved.
The classic 'Common People' more than keeps up this exemplary standard and plays with a sonic quality that can only be described 'as new'.  The power and definition of the audio could not be any more impressive and from start to finish there is no intrusion.  What a version!  Mint all the way.
'I Spy' also plays with phenomenal quality throughout.  There is one light near the end but so quiet you could easily miss it!  Such a good track and the audio definition here is again so strong.  Mint-
'Disco 2000' plays to the same high end standard with a power and depth that is second to none.  'As new' can again be used - another Mint track.
The quiet intro on 'Live Bed Show' is faultless and it continues to play with sublime audio.  The final track on the side and yet there is no loss in sound quality.  Even the quiet final vocal section plays perfectly.  Remember this album is 27 years old now!  A stunning Mint version.

'Something Changed' plays beautifully with no ticks, clicks or pops and only a hint of very light static on the fade out.  A superb Mint- start to S2 and it could be said that the minus is a little harsh!
The intro on 'Sorted For E's And Wizz' has only the lightest of static and the opening vocal section has no 'background' at all.  It continues to play with sublime quality and there is no sign of any interference.  Once again the final quiet section shows just how impressive the clarity is on this record.  Mint-
The long intro on 'F.E.E.L.I.N.G.C.A.L.L.E.D.L.O.V.E' is close to perfect with only a couple of very light ticks and from then on plays with stunning precision.  So many quiet sections and yet the clarity is superb!  A couple of minor ticks on the final quiet vocal and minimal light static right at the end, nothing intrusive and still deserving of a Mint- grade.
The final three tracks 'Underwear', 'Monday Morning' and 'Bar Italia' all play with exceptional quality and, of course, there is no interference!  All grade as Mint the playback is flawless and as always I have played every second of every track so as to provide a 'complete' grade.  What an album!
In summary this first pressing plays with unbelievable quality on both sides and is easily a FINAL UPGRADE album i.e. no need to purchase another to find better audio because you won't!  The clarity, depth and resonance of the audio is STUNNING and if it has been played before I suspect only a couple of times at most.  This classic 90s album certainly has the wow factor!
The Cover, Lyric Inner & Inlay
The non-aperture cover is in lovely condition with hardly any shelf wear.  The top edge has just one very small 'break' of the surface but has not resulted in a split and the bottom edge is super clean with only one tiny rub.  The spine is practically 'as new' with only minimal light wear on the corners and the right hand corners are in superb shape also as is the opening edge which has no handling wear.  The front cover is unmarked and the back is equally as impressive.  This is a fine example and could hardly look any better.
The glossy lyric inner is close to perfect with only a couple of tiny corner rubs and the two-sided inlay (one side glossy and the other matte) is 'as new'.
Play tested on my Rega P2 Turntable / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers

The record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
