You are bidding on SAMUEL/TEXAS IS THE REASON's split 7-inch/45 s/t record. This record is also known as IF IT'S HERE WHEN WE GET BACK IT'S OURS. It was recorded on Simba Recordings in 1995. Texas Is the Reason includes former members of Jets to Brazil, Shelter and 108.
"Texas Is the Reason was an American post-hardcore band founded by former Shelter guitarist Norman Brannon and 108 drummer Chris Daly in 1994. They disbanded in 1997, and held brief reunions in 2006 and 2012–2013."
"1) Samuel was a band from state college, Pennsylvania. they were active in the mid-1990's, releasing two 7" EP's (self titled and Lives of Insects) on the label Art Monk Construction. The band also released a split 7" with Texas Is the Reason on the then British label Simba. Samuel definitely played among the crowd of mid-90's 'post hardcore' or 'emo' bands. However, their sound probably owed as much to more straight forward 'indie rock' as it did to any of the member's hardcore roots. Their line-up consisted of Vanessa Downing (vocals), Eric Astor (drums), J. Marinelli (guitar), Dean Taormina (bass) and Josh Deutsch (guitar)."
Side A (Samuel): "The Leaving Kind" Side B (TITR): "Something to Forget"
