David Greenberger and Prime Lens - "It Happened To Me" limited edition LP (400 made) on the PelPel label, released March 2019. Monologues + music with the text developed by Greenberger from his conversations in Santa Ana, CA at senior centers, during an artist residency for Grand Central Art Center. The ensemble is David Greenberger doing the monologues, Tyson Rogers on keyboards (he's also the primary composer), Evan Lipson on string bass, and Bob Stagner on drums, along with a few guests as well (see image for full listing and credits). Ed Ruscha, familiar with and fond of this Greenberger's work, wanted to create the cover art, and he did. The LP has 18 pieces that were composed and recorded by Greenberger and the ensemble (The work was also released as a double CD with 60 pieces. Anyone wanting the CD version as well can purchase it for an additional $6 when buying this LP.) NOTE: Download card enclosed in LP is no longer active.
