At this point, any metal head worth their salt is at least mildly familiar with the name Lamb Of God. Their initial rise through the ranks to become one of the most vital acts in modern metal reached a true peak on their fourth full-length, 'Sacrament.' Following on from the major success of both, 'As The Palaces Burn', and, 'Ashes Of The Wake'; the band had become so intimately familiar with their formula as well as fan expectation, that they opted to increase both the sheer malodorous intent of their earlier work whilst also elevating the presence of their southern groove-tinted influences. The experiment resulted in a mass increase in popularity and exposure, while the doom-soaked anthemic dread of, 'Walk With Me In Hell', or the Pantera chugging riffage of lead single, 'Redneck', were prime assurance that not a snifter of venom or sincerity was sacrificed in the process.
