ORIGINAL 1979 UK 1st PRESS VINYL LP * LYRIC INNER Side 1 barrels through Buzzcocks' trademark 3-minute pop-punk gems including classics like "Paradise", "Raison d'Etre" and "You Say You Don't Love Me". Side 2 is where you will find this album's best material, "Money" morphs into "Hollow Inside" like the second coming of the easter bunny, "Hollow Inside" rumbles along, propelled by the bass, like a manifesto from Mark E. Smith then this slips into the foot stompin' title song "A Different Kind of Tension", which itself segues into the intense sing-a-long "I Believe" which requires headphones to enjoy the tug-of-war theme of good conscience competing against negative conscience. The best 20 minutes of Buzzcocks you can hope for - punk meets LSD experimentation attached to sublime pop hooks.

Vinyl: EX. Stunning showing only slight tiny signs of use. The finish is shiny with some light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times. Labels are superb, clean and bright without marks. Spindle shows no sign of wear. And no warps.
