Beautiful, VERY RARE RED Vinyl LP Japanese First Pressing 1965 Limited Edition.
The original first pressing on RED VINYL had a very small run, so it's now incredibly rare and tremendously hard to find.
Beatles No.5 is a very early Album, one of the first to be released, just when The Beatles exploded onto the pop scene in Japan. It came hot on the heels of 'Meet the Beatles'. Recorded during the sixties when The Beatles were in top form.
Originally released May 1965.
Original Japan only cover/sleeve with similar front photo art to the US jacket.
Pressed on high quality translucent (clear) Japanese RED vinyl.
'Beatles No.5' Credits:
Produced by George Martin
Performer – George Harrison
Performer – John Lennon
Performer – Paul McCartney
Performer – Ringo Starr
Upbeat and exciting, full of positive energy.
Showcases Original Vintage Sixties Beatles; Mersey-beat sound; Playful and uplifting; Popular hits 'I Feel Fine' and 'She's a Woman'; Fourteen-tracks; Songs selected exclusively for Japan; Ecstatic Rock & Roll. An interesting compilation:
Most songs are credited to Lennon and McCartney.
Kicking off side one on this Japanese Album is Little Richard's 'Long Tall Sally', It's raw rock fury with Ringo really going to town.
The pounding back beat is maintained through most of the chosen tracks.
With a nod to their Hamburg glory days, the album includes German-language versions of their high flying hits of 1963:
'I Want to Hold Your Hand' and 'She Loves You'. Titles on label appear as: "Komm, gib mir deine Hand" and "Sie liebt dich".
Side two opens with the deliciously catchy 'I Feel Fine'.
John Lennon's vocals shine through in 'I Call Your Name'.
Rounding off side two is the gentle, deeply emotional 'This Boy' in perfect harmony.
Genres: Rock and roll, Rock, Pop, Pop Rock, Rock R and B, Mersey Beat, Sixties
