Nicolas Demuth, AKA Parra For Cuva, certainly turns heads with his platinum selling productions. The Cologne-bred artist, who moved to Berlin to studio Audio Design, unarguably understands what that term means. Everything is and - we would wager - always will be in its right place. At once owing much to the kind of spatial, post-dubstep electronica of the last decade, alongside jazz, folk, Balearic and ambient, all those labels aside it's probably easiest to call this what it actually is - very, very good 21st Century pop.

That may feel reductive, but ultimately what's here is as universal and accomplished as they come, born into a time when those two words often feel mutually exclusive. There are some utterly sublime moments, whether that's the dubbed melodies and rattling percussion of 'Cupa Cupa', the heartbreaking vocal downtempo beast 'Cleopatra' or the gliding harmonies of 'Miss Is Ou', but more importantly it veers between sounds that have long resonated with more than they have missed, and hits every nail on the head.
