Outstanding collection of songs associated with Mexico's most enduring revolutionary movement. Beyond its importance as a document, the record's presentation is just beautiful. The artwork is vivid and very well-printed, and shows various works by Diego Rivera, a well-known documentarian of Mexican oppression and struggle.
Included is a LARGE, 10-page Spanish-language booklet that recounts the history of the Zapatista movement, as well as high-quality photographs. This booklet alone is worth the price in my
I believe these are field recordings, but the fidelity is still quite impressive. I mean, this was pressed by Mexico's Anthropological Society, so you can imagine that they wouldn't cut corners when it comes to historical preservation.
