I'm pleased to offer for sale, David Bowie's second studio album, the self titled David Bowie (more commonly known as Space Oddity).

A scarce rarity to find a first press on Philips label up for sale!

Departing from the music hall style of Bowie's 1967 self-titled debut, David Bowie contains folk rock and psychedelic rock songs, with lyrical themes influenced by events happening in Bowie's life at the time, including former relationships and festivals he attended. "Space Oddity", a tale about a fictional astronaut, was released as a single in July 1969 and became Bowie's first commercial hit, reaching the UK top five.

The well recognised outer gatefold cover is in good condition with no splits or tears. Is has discolouration/age related wear to corners, edges, spine as most of these do.

The inner is good with no splits or tears, only discolouration.

The vinyl boasts the rare Philips labels that everyone wants! The dead wax shows the important first press matrix numbers. The vinyl itself is by no means a top copy, it is marred with NON feelable surface lines/hairs and there are two feelable ones.

BECAUSE OF ITS RARITY IT IS STILL AN EXTREMELY SCARCE AND VALUABLE FIND! A MUST HAVE FOR ANY MUSICAL COLLECTION.
