Mint(M):.Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played,possibly even still sealed. Should be used sparingly as a grade, ifat all.

NearMint (NM): A nearly perfect record. A NM record will playperfectly, with no imperfections during playback. The record shouldshow no obvious signs of wear.

VeryGood Plus (VG+): A Very Good Plus record will show some signs thatit was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took goodcare of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may haveslight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one'slistening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound as“OK.” The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but itshould be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present.

VeryGood (VG): Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be morepronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing,especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, butwill not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to benoticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with afingernail) that will affect the sound.

GoodPlus (G+): A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be playedthrough without skipping. But it will have significant surfacenoise, scratches, and visible groove wear. While the record will beplayable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and ticks willalmost certainly accompany the playback.

Fair/ Poor: The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play throughwithout skipping or repeating.
